Hagenburger will be succeeding Huppenbauer as COE of Daimler South East Asia, who will be retiring after an illustrious 39-year career with the company.
Wolfgang Huppenbauer, current Chief Executive Officer of Daimler South East Asia Pte Ltd, will be retiring after an illustrious 39-year career with the company. Philipp Hagenburger, current Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-Benz Romania will succeed Mr. Huppenbauer as CEO of Daimler South East Asia effective 1 May 2019. Mr. Huppenbauer started his longstanding career with Daimler-Benz in 1980.
Huppenbauer (right) has been an indispensable asset to the team and has played an integral role in the success of the brand in South East Asia After his first position as Sales and Management Trainer in the European markets, his career saw him take up various management positions across Australia and Asia, before he took up the Chief Executive Officer role for Thailand, and then eventually South East Asia in 2009.
As CEO of Daimler South East Asia, Wolfgang Huppenbauer has contributed tremendously to the growing success of the Mercedes-Benz brand and business not only in Singapore but also in all 12 general distributor markets under his purview.

Mr. Hagenburger's career with Daimler spans across two decades, holding several management roles across Germany, Romania and Egypt, before he returned to Romania to become CEO in 2016. He builds upon an impressive legacy of driving market leadership for Mercedes-Benz in Romania and will continue his legacy by propelling the future of Daimler South East Asia to greater success in the near-to-far future.
