McLaren and leading eyewear manufacturer L'Amy Group have announced their collaboration and the launch of a McLaren Vision Collection.


The McLaren of eyewear is launched today by the racing technology brand and creator of luxury high performance sports and supercars company in collaboration with leading eyewear manufacturer L'Amy Group. Employing McLaren supercar imperatives and advanced materials to guarantee ultimate performance, the McLaren Vision Collection design has already been acclaimed with a global award for technology and innovation. 

McLaren Vision eyewear, available as both sunglasses and prescription spectacles, features a unique style created by L'Amy in partnership with design teams from both McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing. The lenses are fixed within the frames at just two contact points. As well as a dramatic appearance, the 'floating' structure ensures the glasses are super-light and super-strong. Emulating McLaren cars' use of advanced materials, the frames are 3D-printed titanium. Rotary hinges are used for comfort while a 3D facial scan allows the frames to be adapted to suit the precise dimensions of the wearer’s face.

The McLaren Ultimate Vision design is the first fruit of a global licensing agreement between McLaren Group and L'Amy Group, with the objective of extending McLaren DNA into eyewear for the first time. The collection will be available to buy from selected specialist retailers from spring 2019, more details will then be given on the full Collection.
